 MTV Latin America's New Telenovela Takes Shap

 Último Año,the company's third telenovela and the first to be co-produced with Tr3s:MTV, 

Música y Más,already has its cast,and a regional release dat ehas been confirmed:

MTV Latin America confirmed the cast of Ultimo Año, its new local production, and announced it
will premiere on MTV Latin America on Monday, September 3, 2012, and will then make its debut
in the US through Tr3s: MTV Música y Más.
The telenovela, which will include 70 episodes and is currently in production in Mexico DF, will
feature a Latin American cast, including Kendra Santa Cruz (Celeste), Martín Barba (Benjamín),
Iliana Gómez (Fernanda) and Mauricio Henao (Martín).
This is the third telenovela by MTV Latin America and the first co-production with Tr3s: MTV,
Música y Más. It's produced by Argos Producciones with the best HD technologies.
"With Òltimo Año, MTV continues to invest on innovation with a teen, suspense thriller, produced
entirely in Mexico," said Fernando Gastón, SVP Production and Programming at MTV Latin
America.
Writen by Josefina Fernández and screenwriters Claudio Bono (Niñas Mal, Popland), Francisca
Bernardi and Hugo Morales, Òltimo Año is a psychological thriller which follows a group of rich
teens.
The new telenovela is also MTV Latin America's first joint venture with the Popular Media Center
(PMC) to raise social awareness with their scripts and projects
